Plastic Hours
What does it mean to exist in a world shaped by systems that distort, transform, and sometimes collapse under their own weight? Plastic Hours is my exploration of this question, a 3D composition that captures the interplay of societal breakdowns, resilience, and the fluidity of time.

This piece was created in response to the theme “Design as an Event: A Response to Time” reflecting on how systems evolve, fail, and adapt. Through this work, I question what happens when we break away from rigidity to embrace the pliable, the transient, and the unreal.

Created for a collaborative project between Serendipity Arts Festival and Ssona Papers.

The composition presents a visual dialogue about systemic forces and human agency. Portraying the malleability of societal structures during times of upheaval when systems that once seemed immutable begin to distort, fragment, and transform. Humans are not just passive actors; they are shaped and molded by forces beyond their control, Holding the potential to act and influence these systems. The work asks, What happens when society is pushed to its breaking point? What becomes of the individual in a world where nothing is designed for the good of everyone? It’s a powerful reminder to recognize and seize the right moment to effect meaningful change.
